They are often favored by those who appreciate nuanced flavors and want to taste more of the coffee’s intrinsic qualities without them being overshadowed by the roasting process itself. The flavor profile typically showcases brighter, fruitier notes as well a higher acidity level which some describe as giving the coffee a “snappier” or more vibrant taste.

The coffees we have chosen for you offer multidimensional complexity, inherent sweetness, and subtle floral aromas that highlight their given terroir. For lighter roasts, we recommend brewing methods that allow more control and precision, such as all ranges of pour-over and drip brew styles. Ethiopia Limmu Kossa is an exquisitely bright and delicate coffee, full of dynamic floral notes, layers of sweetness and balanced citric acidity. Lighter roast styles are vibrant and complex with notes of bergamot, wildflower honey and Meyer lemon with a round body and clean finish. We recommend it as a juicy, floral batch brew or as a silky and charismatic shot of espresso.

Colombia Magia del Campo is decadent and layered with a tremendous amount of sweetness and texture. At lighter roast levels this coffee produced a sweet, effervescent acidity reminiscent of Meyer lemon, coupled with a delicate, silky mouthfeel and notes of wildflower honey and toffee. Magia del Campo shines as an expressive shot of espresso or as a rich and caramelly batch brew.
